He married MATILDA VIRGINIA NORTHCUTT September 30, 1880, daughter of JOEL BAKER NORTHCUTT and MANERVA JANE HUDSON. She was born June 12, 1861 in Monarch, Marion County, Arkansas, and died February 12, 1954 in McCulloch County, TX. She was buried in Calf Creek Cemetery, Calf Creek, McCullough County, TX.
